How We Got Started with Assisting College Students
In 1999, our family responded to an incoming freshman crisis. A young man was about to lose his academic scholarship because he couldn’t afford a meal plan. We gave him $1,000 from our savings, so he could focus on his future and prevent him from being one of the many students who drop out simply because they can’t meet their basic needs.
Since then, we’ve had the privilege of helping over 20 college students by providing stipends ranging from $350 to $1,000. These funds cover food, transportation, technology, school supplies, and other vital needs that often threaten students’ dreams of earning their degrees or certifications.
